Poker players hoping for a chance to win a seat in the 2024 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas are in luck. Thanks to the WPT Global Summer Festival series taking place July 28-August 18, there are a few opportunities to do so.

The online festival, which PokerNews highlighted here, is headlined by the $3,500 buy-in WPT Championship, which runs August 11-18. The event has a $1 million prize pool, with a WPT World Championship seat being the cherry on top.

The event will also give players a chance to get their name on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup, while there will be two other opportunities for players to earn WPT titles.

“It has been incredible to witness the growth of WPT Global,” WPT CEO Adam Pliska said in a press release. “This coming Summer Festival is one for the books and is once again giving players around the world the chance to compete for the Sexton Cup.”

The WPT Global Summer Festival will feature over 300 events with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $3,500 and $8 million in guaranteed prize money. Those events include No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Short Deck tournaments in various formats, including turbos, bounties, six-handed, and progressive knockouts (PKO).

“This is the most expansive festival WPT Global has ever run,” said WPT Global President Alex Scott. “From the jam-packed schedule with tons of guarantees to having a chance to become a WPT Champion, the value is abundant for online poker players at all levels.”

This is just the latest opportunity to win seats into the WPT World Championship, a $10,400 buy-in event that is always one of the most anticipated poker events of the year. Earlier this month, WPT partnered with the Mid-States Poker (MSPT) to give away several seats to the championship event.

Other schedule highlights include the $1,060 WPT Prime Championship with a $750,000 guarantee and the $530 WPT 500 Championship with a $400,000 guarantee.
