888poker Announces Huge XL Autumn Series With $500000 Guaranteed Main Event
The weather in many parts of the world is cooling down but the heat at the 888poker tables is increasing and will reach boiling point between September 22 and October 1 when the XL Autumn Series springs into action.
Featuring 29 No-Limit Hold’em events with combined guaranteed prize pools worth over $1 million, the 888poker XL Autumn Series must not be missed. Buy-ins range from $8.80 to $525, with most events pitched at the more affordable end of the scale.
Mystery bounty tournaments feature heavily on the schedule, as 888poker players love this format. Two such events stand out from the crowd: the multi-flighted Mystery Bounty Mini Event and its big brother, the Mystery Bounty Main Event.
$25 buy-in, $100,000 Guaranteed Mini Main Event
The Mystery Bounty Mini Event only costs $25 to enter but boasts a guarantee of $100,000. Day 1s are already in the 888poker lobby, and see players sit down with 10,000 chips and play to a 12-minute clock. The plan for each Day 1 is to continue playing until the end of the 20th level or until 11% of the field remains, whichever is sooner. Surviving players return to 888poker’s virtual felt on September 30 to conclude the tournament, with mystery bounties in play from the start of Day 2.
Monster-Sized $500,000 Guaranteed Main Event
The Mystery Bounty Main Event is massive. Not only does it command a $250 buy-in, but its prize pool is guaranteed at a cool $500,000. The format and structure is similar to the $25 buy-in mini edition except blind levels are extended to 15 minutes.
Last year’s XL Autumn Series Mystery Bounty Main Event drew in 2,002 entrants and ended in a three-handed chop. Ukraine’s “Kostya_jock” finished in third for $25,207, “IOwnU888” was the runner-up and banked $27,630, leaving Brazilian Danton “DantonGomes” Gomes to be crowned champion, an accolade that came with $34,909.
However, the biggest winner as “Inflaatio,” who pulled out the jackpot $50,000 mystery bounty 15 minutes into the start of Day 2. A similar bounty is in play in the 2024 edition.

How many decks are used in poker?
