Shortly after winning $25,000 playing cash games in Bobby’s Room, Owen stated that he wouldn’t be playing poker for a while because he would become a father in the next couple of days. However, he told a little white lie about not playing because he was invited to play $25/$50 with the same group of players the next day.

Ensure your schedules are free from September 11-16 because that is when the WPT Prime United Kingdom festival takes place at the home of British poker, Dusk Till Dawn. Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) has a long history of hosting World Poker Tour (WPT) events. Last May, 895 players turned out in force for the £560 buy-in WPT 500, who fought it out for a slice of the £500,000 prize pool. Aleksandrs Golubevs came out on top on that occasion, raking in £100,000 and a place in WPT’s history books.

Resorts World to Host The Big Deal for One Drop During F1; Hellmuth to Emcee

Resorts World Las Vegas announced a new high-stakes charity poker tournament in partnership with the World Poker Tour (WPT) and the One Drop Foundation that will take place during the Formula 1 weekend in November. The Big Deal for One Drop will be a $10,000 buy-in event with up to 54 players competing while raising money for the One Drop Foundation, which helps communities solve the water and climate crisis. Seventeen-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth is set to emcee the event.

Biography Mike Sexton was an American poker player and commentator. He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2009. The World Poker Tour champion and 10-time World Series of Poker bracelet-winner was around when Texas Holdem first rose to popularity in the 1970s, as Brunson became a back-to-back WSOP Main Event champion.
