Ronaldo Lus Nazrio de Lima, commonly known as Ronaldo, is a former professional footballer and is considered as one of the best forwards to ever play the beautiful game.

The Brazilian icon has played for the likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid and the Brazilian National Football Team.

On top of an endless list of individual and club honours, Ronaldo has two FIFA World Cup winners medals (1994, 2002).

Ronaldo and Poker

Ronaldo first noted foray into the poker industry was signing compatriot and PokerStars ambassador Andre Akkari to his 9INE sports and entertainment agency. Three years later, Ronaldo followed Akkari’s lead and became an ambassador for the online poker room.

Ronaldo would then leave Team PokerStars before joining forces again in July 2022.

“I am extremely excited to announce that I am becoming part of the PokerStars family again. I have always been a huge fan of the game and look forward to working on some exciting projects in the future. Keep an eye on Ronaldo TV where I’ll be streaming some tournaments soon!” he said.

Ronaldo joins Paris St. Germain megastar Neymar Jr, Rafael Moreas and the aforementioned Akkari in flying the Brazilian flag while sporting the famous PokerStars patch.

Ronaldo’s Recorded Tournament Cashes

Ronaldo has recorded two in-the-money finishes in tournaments, both coming at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in 2015 and 2016.

Ronaldo finished in 26th place in the 2015 PCA $10,000 Main Event for $42,180. One year later, he finished in 7th place in the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em - 6-Handed event for $3,580.
