The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Tournament of Champions is returning to Commerce Casino in Los Angeles in May.
The $1 million freeroll event, which is exclusive to players who won a WSOP bracelet or Circuit ring between June 2024 and May 2025, will take place May 15-17 at the legendary Southern California casino.
It will mark the second time in two years that the legendary Southern California casino will host the Tournament of Champions, an exciting kickoff to the WSOP summer festival in Las Vegas.
“We are happy to return to The Commerce Casino & Hotel for the WSOP Tournament of Champions and our 15th consecutive $1,000,000 freeroll,” WSOP Chief Executive Officer Ty Stewart said in a press release. “With a $2 million guaranteed Circuit Main Event, WSOP satellites and nonstop action at the world’s biggest poker room, this is like the opening ceremonies for the 2025 WSOP.”
The final table of the 2025 Tournament of Champions will be live-streamed on YouTube. Additional details about the live stream will be announced in the coming weeks.

how many decks are used in poker?
In most popular poker variants, such as Texas Hold’em and Omaha, a standard deck of 52 playing cards is used. Each deck contains four suits (hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades) and consists of 13 ranks (Ace, 2 through 10, and the face cards: Jack, Queen, and King).
However, it’s important to note that the number of decks used in poker can vary depending on the specific game or variation being played. For example, some poker tournaments or cash games may use multiple decks to speed up the gameplay or reduce the frequency of card shuffling.
