The World Poker Tour (WPT) has made its way back to Cyprus, and poker players and fans have every reason to be excited.
After a hugely successful debut last year, the WPT Prime Cyprus Championship has returned for round two, running from March 13-17 at the stunning Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa. With a $1,100 buy-in and a guaranteed $1 million prize pool, the stage is set for another unforgettable poker showdown.

This year’s event, which shuffles up and deals today, is designed to give players as many chances as possible to punch their ticket to Day 2. With five starting flights on the schedule, there’s no shortage of opportunities to get in the mix:
Each Day 1 flight will play down until just 12.5% of the field remains, meaning that anyone who bags chips is already in the money. That’s right—make it through Day 1, and you’re guaranteed a payday.

The Road to the Final Table
All surviving players will return on Day 2 (March 16), where the levels extend to 60 minutes, giving them plenty of time to maneuver. By the end of the night, only the best of the best will be left standing, setting the stage for an epic final table on March 17.

Last year, Romanian grinder Tudor Purice took down the first-ever WPT Prime Cyprus Championship, outlasting a massive 1,202-player field to snag the title and a cool $183,270.
He sealed the deal in a heads-up battle against Aleks Apryan, etching his name into WPT history and marking the tour’s return to Cyprus after a decade-long break.
