The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) is returning to Reno, Nevada this month for a festival taking place March 25-30.
The Mission RunGood Reno, taking place at Atlantis Casino Reno, will culminate with the $600 buy-in RGPS Reno Main Event with a $150,000 guarantee.
Ten Rings in Six Days
The upcoming RGPS stop offers poker players a chance to win one of ten rings over the six-day festival.
Action will kick off on March 25 with a $250 Seniors Ring Event with a $10,000 guarantee, as well as a $250 Series Opener event with a $5,000 guarantee and a $250 Ambassador Bounty Ring Event that will be sure to bring out all the RunGood familiar faces.
The next day will see two starting flights of the DeepStack Ring Event featuring a $30,000 guarantee and an $85 Main Event Satellite that will award one in ten seats with three seats guaranteed.
March 27 will see the conclusion of the DeepStack Ring Event as well as a $300 PLO Ring Event and a $300 Black Chip Bounty event, as well as two more Main Event satellites.
The first of four Main Event starting flights will kick off on March 28 and the $150,000 guaranteed event will play to a winner on March 30. That same day, the series will close out with a $300 One Day NLH Ring event with a $10,000 guarantee and a $300 Tag Team event.
Last Time in Reno
The RunGood Series was last in Reno in October 2024. At that stop, the $600 Main Event drew 301 runners for a prize pool of $153,510.
Pharmacist Dustin Cavanaugh of Montana won the event for $33,450 and his first RunGood ring as he defeated Reno local Michael Harris during heads-up play.
“This is the best weekend of poker I have had in years,” the newly crowned champion told PokerNews after the victory, “so much fun, lot of good players, lot of good competition, and I had a blast.”
The final table also included Greg Paradero (9th - $3,360), Thomas Tran (8th - $4,210) and eventual 2024 WPT World Championship winner Scott Stewart (3rd - $15,130).
