SiGMA Poker Tour Kicks Off in São Paulo—Whos In?
Table Of Contents
The SiGMA Poker Tour (SPT) is making its first-ever stop in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 9-14. If you’re looking for big tournaments, fun vibes, and maybe a few famous faces, this is the place to be.
The action goes down at the Monte Carlo Poker Club and Hilton Morumbi, with the $250,000 GTD Main Event headlining the schedule. And for the first time in South America, players are getting a Hendon Mob Championship event.
Sounds like a solid way to kick things off, right?
Big Names, Bigger Hands
SPT is bringing some familiar faces to the tables. PokerNews ambassador and Game of Gold star Lukas “RobinPoker” Robinson is in the mix, along with ex-Liverpool star John Arne Riise, who’s been taking poker pretty seriously these days.
Also making an appearance? Jon Vlogs, a YouTuber with nearly 7 million subscribers, and Drea Karlsen, a Twitch poker streamer and SPT Ambassador.
Whether they’re crushing the tables or just hanging out, they’ll be part of the action.
Can’t Be There? No Problem
If you’re stuck at home, PokerNews has you covered with live updates from the Main Event. So, if you want to follow the deep runs, bad beats, and sick hero calls, they’ll be reporting straight from the floor.
What’s the Vibe?
SPT isn’t just about the cards—it’s about bringing poker and iGaming together. Expect a mix of serious competition and plenty of opportunities to meet people from all over the industry.
The tour was first announced at SiGMA Malta in November 2024, and now, it’s kicking things off in Brazil with five major events, big guarantees, and a packed schedule.

For example, some poker tournaments or cash games may use multiple decks to speed up the gameplay or reduce the frequency of card shuffling.
