Poker Site Launched Way Back in 2008 Names Their First-Ever Brand Ambassador
ClubWPT has been around since 2008, but in all that time they’ve never had an official ambassador. That changed this week when it was announced that Josh Guindon (pictured above), an ER doctor from Bedford, Massachusetts, was the first brand ambassador.
Guindon’s accomplishments from playing on ClubWPT helped propel him to his sponsorship deal, which will include him representing the subscription-based company at WPT events throughout 2025. He’s made deep runs in all four of his first WPT Championship events, which included making the final table of last December’s historic ClubWPT Gold $5 Million Freeroll. Guindon not only finished seventh for $30,000, he also pulled a $100,000 mystery bounty.
“His story is a perfect example of the pathway that ClubWPT provides for players to chase their poker dreams.”
According to a press release, Guindon signed up for ClubWPT after watching an episode of the WPT on TV. Right away, he navigated a 1,100-player field to win a VIP package to the 2022 WPT Venetian Championship where he finished in 48th place for $19,700. He followed that up by finishing 11th in the WPT Voyage Championship for $24,000 and 18th in the 2024 WPT bestbet Jacksonville for $16,800.
“We are thrilled to welcome Josh as an official ambassador of ClubWPT,” said WPT VP of Online Services Jeremy Clemons. “His story is a perfect example of the pathway that ClubWPT provides for players to chase their poker dreams.”
ClubWPT is the official membership-based online poker platform of the World Poker Tour, offering players the chance to win real prizes and VIP experiences. With a low monthly subscription, members can participate in exclusive tournaments and earn their way to live WPT events around the world.
Exclusive Bounty Promotion
In recognition of Guindon becoming ClubWPT’s first ambassador, the site is giving its members the shot at a $5,000 GTD Sun Run Bounty Tournament on Sunday, March 23 in which Guindon will be a featured bounty. To top it off, ClubWPT is going the extra mile by giving eeryt player who cashes the Sun Run Bounty to have their payouts doubled if Guindon manages to cash the upcoming WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship.
Guindon, who will be streaming the tournament on ClubWPT’s Twitch channel, will also be at both the recently announced WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship and December’s WPT World Championship.
