The year is well underway for Kerryjane Craigie, PokerStars Ambassador and Director of Poker at the Hippodrome Casino. With leaderboards heating up, thrilling competitions on the horizon, and a much-anticipated summer trip to Las Vegas in the works, there’s no shortage of action ahead.

There are also opportunities in The Ladies Club to travel to Las Vegas, while with WPA International Craigie remains committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive poker community. In this blog, she shares the latest updates, upcoming events, and a glimpse into the unforgettable experiences awaiting players this year.

How is it March Already?

Yet here I am, already deep in planning for a summer trip to Las Vegas, and it can’t come soon enough! I love a visit to the Poker capital of the world, and the excitement never fades year after year. The leaderboards at The Hippodrome are up and running, and once again, I’ll be taking a group of players for an unforgettable experience: seven nights of accommodation, return flights, tournaments, dinners, helicopter rides, and so much more. Let the countdown begin!

The Ladies Club competition is as fierce as ever, with tight races at the top each month. Two lucky winners will be joining me for this incredible, fully-funded trip, courtesy of The Hippodrome.

We also just awarded two trips to the newly announced PokerStars Open, with its first stop in Campione this March. The Ladies Club continues to be a fantastic way to win your way into major events—all for a maximum buy-in of just £35. Each month’s gathering is reaching capacity, so be sure to stay up to date with everything here.

Exciting News for WPA International

WPA InternationalNext month, we’ll be launching new initiatives for WPA International, and we’re looking for advocates worldwide to help support women in poker. If you’re passionate about growing the game and elevating women’s events in your country or region, we’d love to hear from you. Head to WPA Link and tell us why you’d like to get involved.

Additionally, I’ve committed our international arm to sponsoring a female player at least six times in 2025 providing complimentary entry into a prestigious women’s event. The goal? More women at more tables around the world! These draws will be open to anyone that has a Hendon Mob footprint of $500 or less.

A Final Note

I couldn’t wrap up this month without mentioning the Global Poker Awards. I made a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas for four incredible days, celebrating the best in the poker world. My first-ever nomination—and the honour of making the shortlist for something I love. It culminated in me being a bridesmaid for Poker Operations Director of the Year, however, a truly humbling experience to be in the mix, as voted for by the industry.

I could not have cheered louder for the amazing women that were celebrated and recognised for their awesomeness. And if you didn’t already know from last month what a fan of Rania Nasreddine I was, her win for Breakout Player of the Year was my favourite result of the night. Shout out to fellow ambassador Marle Spragg, who took the trophy in a tough well contested category, and rightly so. And one of my hero’s and Mentor to the Industry Lupe Soto – what a driven inspirational woman she is!
