GGPoker is stepping up its game when it comes to keeping online poker fair. The platform just announced a new partnership with GTO Wizard, aimed at cracking down on Real-Time Assistance (RTA) tools and making sure everyone plays on a level field.

Taking Action Against Cheaters

As part of this new alliance, GGPoker has already banned 31 accounts caught violating fair play rules. With the help of GTO Wizard, they identified players who were using the tool suspiciously during live play.

“Poker should be individual vs. individual, not individual vs. machine,” GGPoker stated. The press release makes commitments ensuring skill and strategy—not unfair advantages—determine success.

This move reinforces GGPoker’s approach to game integrity and shows they’re making steps to keep things fair and protecting the poker ecosystem.

One of the big highlights of this partnership is GTO Wizard’s new Fair Play Check. This tool lets users see if a specific board was solved using GTO Wizard within a set time frame, making it easier to spot potential rule-breakers.

Could Online Cheaters Be Banned from Live Poker?

If you think getting caught cheating online is bad, it might soon have even bigger consequences. GGPoker Integrity Ambassador Fedor Holz recently hinted that those caught using RTA tools on GGPoker could also be banned from live events—like the World Series of Poker (WSOP).

When poker pro Patrick Leonard asked whether these banned players would be allowed at the WSOP, Holz replied on X: “That’s the plan, and that’s what will happen.”

GGPoker, which now owns the WSOP, hasn’t officially confirmed this yet, but Holz’s statement makes it clear that they’re thinking about taking action beyond just online play. If this policy goes through, it could change the game in a big way.
