Online poker’s most famous tournament, the PokerStars Sunday Million, will soon celebrate its 19th anniversary. PokerStars is placing a $6 million guarantee in its prize pool, but before we get to that, we have a six-week Sunday Million season to get out of the way.
The Sunday Million Season runs until April 6. During that time, there are $18.7 million in guaranteed prizes, a $100,000 leaderboard, and $300,000 worth of tickets to be won. Seventy events, some with low, medium, and high versions, adorn the six-week schedule, with massive week-ending tournaments serving as the Main Events.
First up, we have the $109 Sunday Million Phased. Phases kicked off on February 16 and continue until February 22. Surviving players progress to Day 2 on February 23, when the bulk of the $1 million guaranteed prize pool will be distributed.

Other key events include a $215 buy-in edition of the Sunday Million on March 2 and the $11, $109, and $1,050 buy-in Sunday Specials on March 9; they carry guarantees of $125,000, $1,000,000, and $250,000, respectively.
Keep your diaries free on March 23 because not only does a Sunday Million occur, but also the 14th Anniversary edition of the popular Sunday Storm. The tournament is guaranteed at $350,000 despite only costing $11 to enter.
Of course, the crown jewel of the Sunday Million Season is the $215 Sunday Million 19th Anniversary event, complete with a whopping $6 million guaranteed prize pool. By eliminating the PokerStars ambassadors hosting Sunday Millions each week, you could play in this massive celebratory event for free as they’ll be playing with a bounty on them.
More ambassadors will enter the mix with special bounties on their heads in the Red Spade Open and the pair of Spectral Shows events on March 2.
