Andorras arcrom14 Triumphs in the Latest 888poker Mystery Bounty Main Event
Table Of Contents
The latest edition of the $100,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty Main Event drew in 1,018 entrants to 888poker, and Andorra’s “arcrom14” outlasted them all. The champion walked away with $9,780 after becoming the last player standing.
Although “arcrom14” collected the regular prize pool’s top prize, they were not the tournament’s biggest winner. Ukraine’s “morteeezy” claimed that honor courtesy of pulling the $10,000 jackpot mystery bounty on Day 1 before busting in 18th place. The Ukrainian took home $11,239 of the $101,800 prize pool.
Day 1 ended on February 2 with only eight players remaining. Often, the final table has a couple of big stacks, and the rest hopes to make up some ground. However, this week, “arcrom14” was the start-of-day chip leader with 54 big blinds, and nobody else had fewer than 17 big blinds in their stack.

2 | bombazota69 | Kazahkstan | 3,117,337 | 52 |
3 | perrivini | Brazil | 2,745,336 | 46 |
4 | TitovSerj | Ukraine | 1,775,822 | 30 |
5 | maa_man | 1,321,430 | 22 | |
6 | Pedrozadota | Brazil | 1,051,176 | 18 |
7 | Simteam75 | United Kingdom | 1,015,204 | 17 |
8 | iaric_ | Andorra | 1,007,804 | 17 |
The first elimination occurred a few minutes into the final table’s action. “maa_man” opened from early position with pocket jacks, “arcrom14” called in the cutoff with king-queen of hearts, only for “iaric_” to squeeze all-in for 19 big blinds with pocket tens in the big blind. Only “maa_man” called, and their jacks held on an ace-high board to send “iaric_” to the rail in eighth.
“Pedrozadota” busted in seventh place after a clash with “maa_man” did not go to plan. “maa_man” opened from under the gun with pocket tens, and “Pedroadota” called in the big blind with ace-nine, leaving only eight big blinds behind. Those chips were destined to go into the middle when the flop fell nine-high, which is what happened. The pocket tens remained true, and the final table was down to six.
Those six became five when the United Kingdom’s “Simteam75” ran out of steam. Down to a meagre 3.75 big blinds, “Simteam75” open-shoved from under the gun with ace-trey. “arcrom14,” from the big blind, called with jack-five. A jack appeared on the turn, and the British grinder was gone.
Ukraine’s “TitovSerj” was the next player relieved of their stack. “TitovSerj” scored a timely double-up with ace-king versus the king-queen of “perrivini” but they crashed out a few hands later. “maa_man” raised from the button with pocket sevens before calling the 24 big blind shove “TitovSerj” made from the small blind with ace-king. Those sevens flopped a set, and “TitovSerj” was done and dusted.
Brazilian “Perrivini” reached the final table of the $150,000 XL Winter Series Weekend Mystery Starter a couple of weeks ago, finishing seventh. They went three places deeper in this $100,000 guaranteed affair, coming unstuck despite holding a substantial chip lead for most of four-handed play.
Four-handed play spanned more than one hour, ending with “Perrivini”’s demise. First, the Brazilian lost all but 1.4 big blinds when their king-queen lost to the dominating ace-queen in “arcrom14”’s hand. They were in the big blind the next hand and committed their last 0.3 big blinds with jack-nine. All three other players called, with “maa_man” winning the hand with a turned trip eights.
It may have taken an hour to reduce the final table from four to three, but less than ten minutes passed before the champion was crowned. First, “bombazota69” jammed all-in for a shade under 9.5 big blinds from the button with ten-eight of spades, a shove that “arcrom14” called with king-queen. A ten on the flop looked to have doubled “bombazota69”’s stack, but a king on the river sent them to the rail.
“arcrom14” held a narrow five big blind advantage going into the one-on-one clash with “maa_man,” so it was anyone’s game. The final hand saw “arcrom14” raise with ace-six of diamonds, and “maa_man” call with ace-nine. A deuce-four-nine flop with two diamonds gave some equity to both players. “maa_man” checked, “arcrom14” fired a small bet only to be check-raised. “arcrom14” then put in a raise of their own before calling their opponent’s shove. The jack of diamonds on the turn gave “arcrom14” an unbeatable flush, rendering the river inconsequential.
“maa_man” bowed out in second place for $6,133 leaving “arcrom14” to bank $9,780 and the title of champion.
