The Charleville Park Hotel in County Cork is where the poker action is at from January 24-26 because the Irish Poker Tour is in town for the weekend. The hotel hosts the 2025 edition of the Munster Poker Festival, which features a €200 buy-in Main Event with a €70,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The inaugural Munster Poker Festival ran in June 2022 at The Firgrove Hotel in Mitchelstown. Back then, the Irish Poker Tour was still in its infancy, and the festival featured a trio of events: a €150 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, a €250 Munster Poker Cup, and a €100 NLHE side event.

Things have changed since then, and the Irish Poker Tour’s growth has been impressive. The 2025 edition of the Munster Poker Festival has combined guarantees of €100,000, including a cool €70,000 guaranteed in the €200 buy-in Munster Poker Cup.

The first of five flights in the €200 Munster Poker Cup starts at 6:00 p.m. GMT on the same day. Three subsequent Day 1s are scheduled for January 25, including a fast-structured Day 1D. Those preferring a hyper-turbo structure should dive into Day 1E at 11:00 a.m. GMT on January 26.

Several side events complement the Munster Poker Cup, including a €150 buy-in, €3,000 guaranteed Friday Night €3K, a €200 seven-handed Pot-Limit Omaha tournament with €5,000 guaranteed, and a €200 NLHE Monsterstack on January 26 that promises €10,000 will be paid.

Over 400 Munster Poker Cup Entries Required

The Munster Poker Cup requires over 400 entries to reach the €70,000 guarantee. Such a chunky prize pool for an affordable buy-in should attract players to the tournament like flies to steak.

This stop is the third of the New Year for the Irish Poker Tour. It kicked 2025 off in style with the Galway Poker Festival, which saw Mitchell Hynam take down the €700 Galway Main Event for a career-best €83,600.

Limerick was the next destination, with the €30K in a Day series proving popular. The €200 buy-in, €20,000 guaranteed Main Event was the highlight. It saw 272 players create a €44,391 prize pool. A three-handed deal concluded that particular tournament, with Dymatro Nadinyi and Ross O’Donovan collecting €7,300, and Daniel Colbert announced as the champion, a result good for €7,400.
