RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Making its Way to Hollywood Casino St. Lous Sept. 24-29
The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) is heading back to “The Lou” next week for an exciting series that features a $200,000 guaranteed Main Event and 10 other ring events.
Play inside Hollywood Casino St. Louis kicks off Sept. 24 and concludes with the Main Event final table and the last two ring tournaments on Sept. 29. PokerNews will be in attendance providing live reporting duties.
Hollywood Casino, one of the top spots for poker in Missouri, is a popular RGPS destination. The mid-stakes poker tour hosted a series at the midwestern cardroom back in May. Iman Alsaden won the Main Event for $77,192.
RGPS St. Louis Series Highlights
Satellites for the upcoming series begin at Hollywood Casino on Sept. 20. Poker players can win a seat into the Main Event and other tournaments for just $100.
The series kicks off with the $250 Seniors Ring Event ($10,000 guaranteed), open to the 50+ crowd, at 10 a.m. on Sept. 24. Next up will be the $300 Series Opener No-Limit Hold’em at 1 p.m. ($10,000 guaranteed), followed by Day 1a of the $400 Deepstack Ring Event ($50,000 guaranteed) at 6 p.m.
Day 1b for the Deepstack event takes place the following day, but players can enter a Turbo Satellite for $100 on the 24th at 3 p.m., and one in five will earn a seat.
The highlight of the series is the $800 buy-in Main Event starting Sept. 26. This $200,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em tournament features four Day 1 starting flights, two on Sept. 28. All remaining players will come back to Hollywood Casino on Sept. 29 to play it down to a winner, and PokerNews will recap all the action from start until a champion is crowned.
Final day action also includes a popular $400 Black Chip County No-Limit Hold’em tournament and the $250 Closer No-Limit Hold’em, both RGPS ring events.
