Biography

Bryn Kenney is an American poker player with over $65 million in career earnings, and is the All-Time Money leader for live tournament earnings.

He is also a WSOP bracelet winner, having won Event #63: $1,500 Six-Handed 10-Game Mix at the 2014 WSOP.

In April 2022, Kenney was accused of running a cult-like cheating operation by Martin Zamani. Kenney denied the claims on Twitter.

Poker Achievements

Kenney’s first recorded poker cash came in the late 2000s. In 2009 he reached his first WSOP final table, and made his second the following year while also making a deep run in the 2010 WSOP Main Event where he would eventually finish 28th for $255,242.

This would remain the largest cash of his career until the following year where he finished third in the PCA $100,000 Super High Roller for $643,000.

Kenney was a regular on the European Poker Tour, cashing in San Remo, Prague, Campione, Berlin and Barcelona in the early 2010s. In 2013, he won the 10,250 Master Classics of Poker High Roller for 102,960.

In 2014, he won a WSOP bracelet in Event #63: $1,500 Six-Handed 10-Game Mix.

The first seven-figure score of Kenney’s career would come in 2016 after defeating World Series of Poker Main Event champion Joe McKeehen heads up in the PCA $100K Super High Roller for $1,687,800

“It feels great, I didn’t have a Super High Roller win, and no tournament win that you can be proud of, it was always third, second, in these big tounaments and to get a win is just the best,” Kenney said after lifting the trophy.

Another $1m+ score would follow later that yeart in the Triton Manila Main Event, winning $1,401,694 after coming second to Wai Kin Yong.

Bryn Kenney: ‘I’ll Always Be Playing, I’ll Always Be Busy’

The big scores kept on coming, with victory in the PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo 100,000 Super High Roller netting him close to $2m.

In August 2019, Kenney finished second to Aaron Zhang in the Triton Million for $20,537,187 after a heads-up deal.

Earlier that same year, Kenney won the Aussie Millions Main Event for A$1,272,598.

The wins saw him overtake Justin Bonomo to claim the top spot on The Hendon Mob All-Time Money list. However, Bonomo would wrestle the lead back following his own performances on the live felt.

Then in August 2023, Kenney reached the mountaintop once again. At the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in London, the American triumphed in the series’ $250,000 Luxon Invitational for his second-biggest score of $6,860,000.

Biography Wei Seng Phua, orPaul Phua as he is more commonly known, is a mega-rich Malaysian businessman and poker player, who is usually found playing high-stakes cash games and tournaments in Macau, although he does frequent Super High Roller events that are part of the Triton Poker Series. Born in 1964, Phua, surprisingly, did not begin playing Texas Hold’em until he was in his 40s. Phua considers himself an amateur poker players despite amassing more than $25 million in live poker tournament winnings. He attributes his rapid rise in the game to the fact fellow high-stakes stars Tom Dwan, Gus Hansen, Chau Giang, Patrik Antonius, and Phil Ivey frequenting Macau casinos in the early 2010s. Although Phua prefers cash games, and Short Deck Hold’em in particular, he has an impressive tournament resume. His first recorded live cash came in a 100,000 buy-in event at Aspers Casino, London, United Kingdom, in September 2012, which he won after defeating Richard Yong heads-up. Phua walked away with 1,000,000 ($1,621,297) for his victory. That impressive haul remained Phua’s biggest-ever score for almost seven years. Biography David Peters is an American poker player and four-time WSOP bracelet winner. As of June 2022, he sits sixth on the all-time money list with almost $40 million in career earnings. His most recent bracelet victory came in 2022 when he won Event #2: $100K High Roller Bounty for over $1.1 million. Biography Like many of his peers, Peters started playing poker after seeing Chris Moneymaker win the 2003 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Peters drew inspiration from Moneymaker who was an amateur who took on the pros in their backyard and walked away a world champion. Peters first cut his teeth in the online poker world, starting with freeroll tournaments. He won a freeroll for $600 and it proved to be the catalyst for a title-filled career that has seen him win more than $6.5 million from online poker tournaments and more than $39 million from live events.
