Biography

Fedor Holz is a German poker player and WSOP bracelet winner. He is also a GGPoker Ambassador. Holz can be seen on the first season of GGPoker’s Game of Gold, a poker reality competition on the GGPoker YouTube channel. Over the course of his career he has amassed over $36 million in lifetime earnings and sits top of the German all-time money list. He has since embarked on a career outside of poker, including the mind coaching app Primed Mind and the poker-teaching platform Pokercode.

Biography

Holz shot to prominence in September 2014, after winning the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event. At his first World Series of Poker in 2015, he finished third in the highly competitive $10,000 Six-Handed Championship and followed that up with a 25th place finish in the Main Event. Many poker fans wish for the 2016 that Holz enjoyed. But in fact, his stellar 2016 began in December 2015, winning the World Poker Tour Alpha8 Las Vegas for $1.5 million. Barely a month later, he was winning another WPT Super High Roller in the Philippines, this time for over $3 million. After further cashes at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, Aussie Millions and European Poker Tour, Holz returned to Las Vegas ahead of that years World Series of Poker. REVEALED: How Much Fedor Holz ACTUALLY Won During 2016 Sun-Run By way of warm-up, he finished second in the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl for $3.5 million. He followed that up with his first WSOP bracelet in the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop, defeating Dan Smith to win $4,981,775. But Holz wasnt done, heading to Barcelona to win another Supe High Roller, this time for another $1.4 million. German Superstar Fedor Holz Is Crushing, But Says It’s His Last Full WSOP Holz’s retirement to focus on business interests saw the young phenom go out on a high, but was a continued presence on the Triton Super High Roller Series, adding cashes in Montenegro and Macau. He also finished second in the $1,000,000 buy-in Big One for One Drop in 2018 for $6 million - the largest cash of his career to date. In May 2020, it was announced that Holz would become a GGPoker Ambassador. Following his unveiling as a GGPoker Ambassador, Holz added a second bracelet to his trophy cabinet, winning the$25,000 Heads-up on GGPoker.com in September 2020 for a cool $1,077,250. Holz was one of several top poker players and personalities tapped by GGPoker for its reality-TV spin-off from Poker After Dark. Biography Wei Seng Phua, orPaul Phua as he is more commonly known, is a mega-rich Malaysian businessman and poker player, who is usually found playing high-stakes cash games and tournaments in Macau, although he does frequent Super High Roller events that are part of the Triton Poker Series. Born in 1964, Phua, surprisingly, did not begin playing Texas Hold’em until he was in his 40s. Phua considers himself an amateur poker players despite amassing more than $25 million in live poker tournament winnings. He attributes his rapid rise in the game to the fact fellow high-stakes stars Tom Dwan, Gus Hansen, Chau Giang, Patrik Antonius, and Phil Ivey frequenting Macau casinos in the early 2010s. Although Phua prefers cash games, and Short Deck Hold’em in particular, he has an impressive tournament resume. His first recorded live cash came in a 100,000 buy-in event at Aspers Casino, London, United Kingdom, in September 2012, which he won after defeating Richard Yong heads-up. Phua walked away with 1,000,000 ($1,621,297) for his victory. That impressive haul remained Phua’s biggest-ever score for almost seven years. He bested it when he finished second to Jason Koon in a Triton Poker Super High Roller Short Deck event in Jeju, South Korea, which earned him the equivalent of $2,025,607. Phua has since reeled in a handful more seven-figure scores, including a career-best 2,558,305 ($3,113,429) in August 2019.

Biography David Peters is an American poker player and four-time WSOP bracelet winner. As of June 2022, he sits sixth on the all-time money list with almost $40 million in career earnings. His most recent bracelet victory came in 2022 when he won Event #2: $100K High Roller Bounty for over $1.1 million. Biography Like many of his peers, Peters started playing poker after seeing Chris Moneymaker win the 2003 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Peters drew inspiration from Moneymaker who was an amateur who took on the pros in their backyard and walked away a world champion. Peters first cut his teeth in the online poker world, starting with freeroll tournaments. He won a freeroll for $600 and it proved to be the catalyst for a title-filled career that has seen him win more than $6.5 million from online poker tournaments and more than $39 million from live events. Known for his quiet, unassuming demeanor at the tables, Peters is one of the best poker tournament players to have ever picked up cards and chips. Ten of Peters’ live results weigh in at more than $1 million! His largest score came in 2016 when Peters finished second to Fedor Holz in a $200,000 buy-in Triton Super High Roller Series event in the Philippines; he banked $2,699,752 as part of a deal with Holz. The man from Ohio has four WSOP bracelets on his long list of poker accomplishments. The first came in 2016 in a $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event with his second and third bracelets coming from the online poker world in 2020 and 2021. In 2021, he also won back-to-back U.S. Poker Open Championships. With the WSOP’s move from the Rio to Paris and Bally’s in 2022, Peters picked up his fourth bracelet in the first open event of the summer with victory in the $100,000 High Roller Bounty.
