Norwegian Poker Championships in September is About More than Just Poker

In 2015, Felix Stephenson won the first legal Norwegian Poker Championships Main Event. The event in Norway, which kicks off Sept. 28, has become a huge deal and for more reasons than you might realize.

The entire series runs through Oct. 2, and eight of the 29 events are open to international players. Last year’s festival had over 3,300 unique players, with 2,046 registered for the Main Event, a freezeout tournament. There will be 10 title events on the schedule in 2024, the same as every other year.

But there’s more than just poker on the docket for those interested in attending the festival. For those who sign up for a Flaghunter Package, players are invited to join in on a rib tour Sept. 30 at 11:00 a.m, an opportunity to experience the famous Norwegian fjords in a thrilling, fast-paced rib boat. Guests will enjoy breathtaking views and a delicious lunch while exploring the natural beauty of Norway.
